2010 Fronier KC 4x4 SE. No First Aid Kit and no factory alarm / security?

Did they just forget to install it or are cars over here really sold without that??? :thatswck:

If that's the case... is it possible to retrofit a Nissan alarmsystem?

last i remember i didn't think any of that was standard on an se, never heard seen anything about a first aid kit i dont' think but the factory alarm security stuff is part of the value truck package. its not a standard option.

yeah here is the value truck package

# Tow Hitch Receiver (Class III)
# 16" 5-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels
# Bedliner
# Power windows with driver’s window auto-down
# Power door locks
# Power outside mirrors
# Remote keyless entry
# Cruise control
# Floor mats
# In-cabin microfilter

you can get these options seperately too i think but none of it is actually standard and couldn't find anything on a first aid kit being standard. pretty sure thats just an xterra thing

:confused:I'm still not used to some things here in the US

Even My 1997 Defender came with an anti theft / alarm. Also my 2001 Discovery.
In Europe it is standard on most vehicles.

How can you sell a car without this??? I mean - no first aid kit?? Come on...we are talking about a 2010 car...

Ok, first aid kits are available everywhere... regarding the Anti theft stuff... does anybody have infos / part numbers on the OEM Nissan stuff for an 2010 frontier?

Thanks guys!

first aid kits and security come standard with the NISMO /PRO-4X and the LE.
You should have got one of those.

Probably. But the LE doesn't come as a manual.

I would have exchanged the Pro 4x protection parts with real ones, the rear locker with an ARB and the shocks with Koni RAID anyway. So the Pro 4x was no option, too.

Just saying. First Aid kits really should be standard equipment on cars today. Not to mention Alarm / anti theft devices. As if it was something special. Jeeez.

I think I'll contact my dealer regarding the anti theft equipment and if they can install it afterwards...

if a first aid kit was standard, it's likely you would have just replaced it with a "real one" so why are you complaining?

My point is, that those are essenial things on a new vehicle and i cannot understand, how you can sell a car without it.

On 'build your nissan' online, the alarm system is not even listed as an option. If it had been listed there, I would have noticed, that it apparently is not standard equipment.

But.... one part less that can fail... right?

The Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System is STANDARD on the CC SE.
The Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System is NOT AVAILABLE on the KC SE.

The Vehicle Security System is Part of the VT package on the CC SE.
The Vehicle Security System is NOT Part of the VT package on the KC SE.

So... apparently there is no alarm system of any kind available for 2010 KC SE models

If anybody else wants to upgrade... took me a while to find out which parts are needed...
Found the description of parts on a thread about a Frontier KC, where security system and immobilizer were part of the package. But apparently NIssan forgot to install it. Then I looked for the part numbers at coutesy nissan.

have you ever thought about getting a non oem security. the python system i have has about a half a million features including up to one mile range and remote start. i was in the mall one day and my python keyfob started going off showing that someone was messing with my truck, lucky for me there was a security guard close by and i got him to radio to a guy in the lot and he stoped a guy that look suspicious that was walking quickly away from my truck as the alarm was going off, the guy had one of those kits with the inflatable bag and wedges and all that good stuff for getting into peoples cars. a quick look at the cameras and the confirmed that was him, so he got to buy me a new weather stripping and pay for some scratches to get touched up. the system i have is about $600 which sounds alot at first but i know oem parts aren't cheap either. our stock single cd head unit is like $700 so i bet getting all that oem security stuff can't be cheap. just something to thing about for ya

I thought about aftermarket, too...
but it is a brand new car and I don't want to void the warranty.
The OEM Parts are 380 $. It is more or less plug and play and reprogramming for the keys.
Really strange, why they make this difference between the KC SE and CC SE.
From what I found out, the CC SE seems to use the same BCM as the LE and Pro-4x. The KC SE uses the same one like the 4cyl models. :censor:

(Looks like you need the LE, Pro-4x BCM for the KC SE if you want to add the temp sensor for the Homelink/Compass/Temp/Autodim Rearview mirror. Also if you want to use the Daylight sensor for the auto headlights)

What makes you think an alarm system would void your warranty?
The only thing I see is if something goes wrong with the alarm, of course Nissan won't fix it, otherwise unless the install is botched and ruins your electrical it will be fine (but in that case the installer should be the one footing the bill for the fix, if you go through someone reputable).
