Am I losing my mind?!

Every time I get back in my truck (2022 SV Crew), I feel like the power driver’s seat has moved by itself either to the back or reclined, noticeable enough that I have to change it every time I get into the truck.

Am I losing my mind? I know for a fact I’m not hitting the buttons with my leg when I get out. Does anyone else have this issue or am I going crazy?

Many complaints about this across multiple forums and Facebook groups.

And in pretty much every case it’s caused by people hitting the switches while getting in or out of the vehicle.

does it by chance have a memory setting that works with the keyfob? 2 fobs 2 seat settings
No it does not. It was looked into as well since parts are shared with models that have that feature.

Don't slide out of the seat. Your posterior may hit the switches. Unfortunantly they removed the A frame handle, so running boards help.

Any ideas on an aftermarket pillar handle or maybe a kill switch for the power seat?
You would do well with a search for switch, control cover, or other thoughts.
Somewhere in the dark pits of this forum, i believe, someone somewhere installed a switch that turned off the power to the recliner motor. They noticed the same ghost recline.
No one was in the truck, and the swift instant stepping out of the vehicle wouldn't be a long enough time to accidentally recline the seat position that far.
Needless to say, it's the seat recline motor. It's storing unnecessary energy.
I belive I read that on here somewhere..feel free to correct me of I'm wrong 🤥

And yes, that's happening with mine too. But it's livable in my case.
Or switch engaged from bumping it on exit. All it takes is someone "fixing" it without parts OR by adding the 3d printed cover to imply its something more than just the motor... or more than one issue... and there are those cases also.
The fix..manual seat recliner lever.
Literally. Just that.

I'll take the motor any day. Too many times that the two rails dont completely line up and then you come to a stop and the seat locks in... Some manufacturers add a cover. I just use the running boards. Though I do it to not wear down that edge of the seat. See that WAY too much in WAY too short a time. Just stop sliding out of the seat lol

No, it turned out they were dragging their butt over the switches.

So you're telling me that the seat, at almost fully reclined back. Was because of being accidentally hit, for no more that what, 1-2 seconds tops, would reach that far on the angle? Not possible. It doesnt recline fast at all. You'd be able to notice that instantly. It happens after the vehicle is shut off. With no one in it.

Sure, I wasn't there... however, others later admit it was.

Now what?

Yes, the switch is in a bad spot. But there's no way. You'd have to be the slowest human being getting out of a vehicle.
Even you can admit that.

I’m not telling you anything about your vehicle. Several of the people who claimed it was moving later admitted it was their butt and/or leg.

No, I get that.
What I implied is the simple time that it takes to get out of a vehicle, is not at all long enough to recline the seat soo far back.
I allow for the case of "I never use the drivers seat, I steer from the passenger side but the seat still moves" scenario... while at the same time accepting that others solved their own issue without a cut off switch. Its happened enough times now that one must ask about how a person exits.

It shouldn't be, but yet here we are.

I'm not even certain there isn't some microcontroller, BCM, or CAN related shenanigans going on triggered on exit. Seems any more you can't just have some wire, a relay, and a switch do a thing.
How hard is it to pop the lever off the recline switch? Get it set, remove the lever, and see what happens.
heres another am i? shut the truck off the radio is playing from a memory stick, turn it back on the radio plays some am bull stinky station, i'm like ok what gives, what button did i push getting out .
