Sup guys, I'm Oahu grown Eastside. Just bought a 2005 fixer upper. Just put an alarm in tonight. Next weekend project is timing chain tensioners and maybe a tonneau cover. Mahalo nui loa for all the aloha! :sign7:
My 2005 Frontier has hard 81k miles on it and it sounds like it is
supercharged. The forums have stated that many 05-07 Frontiers had to
replace them. Unfortunately, I'm 20k over the warranty. The dealer
quoted me $1700 to replace them. I already spent $1k on parts since I
bought the truck 3 weeks ago. I'm a techie and I'll try to do it
over a weekend. I also messed up my throttle body while changing my
spark plugs simply by cleaning it. So now, it idles @ 900-1100 rpm.
I may have to spend $500 for a new TBS. This truck is turn out to be
really expensive, luckily I can do some of it myself. I love how it
drives, but I need the fuel economy since gas prices are headed up
again. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Mahalo!
Anyone interested in the wiring for an aftermarket alarm? I got em and have the specific details to help ease the process. It took a little extra effort to figure them out compared to most other vehicles.
