My airbag light has been on for years. I rarely have a passenger but I would like to get it fixed. I was told that the dealership is the only place that can fix the issue but just wondered how much truth was in that.

Yourself, no. Any decent shop with a good scan tool can read and clear codes.

Since it's the Air Bag system, the code can not be cleared without a scan tool with the USA Air Bag nonsense.

Do the airbag reset! If the problem is still there after that it will come back on, then you take it somewhere. Any shop with the tools can fix it, call around.

It's the best! Go to a Chevy forum and you will like this site even more! I have been trying to find some info on my work car and the Chevy forum guys are a bunch of fudging retards. I don't know what they get on there for because they can't do anything for themselves!!!
