Airbag control module

Took my '08 2WD CC in to the dealership for a blinking airbag light. I tried the reset code with the key that has been illustrated on this site to no avail. According to the service manager, there is no 'airbag reset' available for the Frontiers  . I got a call back yesterday afternoon saying the airbag control module was bad. No cause, just bad, covered under warranty. Anyone else ever have this go bad?

I have not had one go bad, but I can verify the reset procedure does work. I've had to use it twice when I was installing my amp under the passenger seat. That service manager doesn't know Frontiers very well. Have him join the website! :nana:

I suspect he meant the sensor was bad.

I deployed my airbags so I DGAF about control module.
I'll double check the paperwork to see if how descript it is. After reading the recall, that is completely viable here in NoVA.
The recall dosen't cover Virgina, only W. Virginia, and the 20 other "salt states."
I noticed it didn't cover VA, but we do use salt on our roads.

And it did state sensor on the paperwork.

Ultimately, they covered it without hesitation and I have my truck back. I still stand behind Brown's (Sterling & Fairfax) Nissans in NoVA. Whatever I purchase next (Altima, Pfinder, or Frontier) will be from that dealership if they match my USAA price and financing again!
