Hello all, I've been hounding ARB for a while about making an air locker for my 07 fronty. They finally sent me an email saying that its in development! You can go to the website and confirm it...

I'm pretty excited, I was considering selling it and getting a toyota 4banger 4x4, but not now. I encourage everone to email them to let them know if you're interested.

this is a from the email they sent me...

"Hi Bruce, thank you for the email.

In the back of your Nissan, you should have what’s called the Nissan C200K axles. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer a locker for that axle. However, we have submitted drawings to our and engineering department and hope to have one released in the near future. If you have anymore questions, let me know. Take care.

they sent that in august this year.

YES!!!! Now it is rock solid what truck to get. At the end of 2010 or ealy 2011 I should be buying a new Fronty & let the wife take the 05 CC. I wanted to get a 4 cyl XE but sometimes need LSD or lockers. This solves the problem.

Locker causes equal power to be distributed to the locked axle. Meaning when you are in a situation where only one tire spins on the rear axle (mud, rock climbing etc) the engine power is following the path of least resistance. This causes the one wheel peel. A locker will lock the diff and distribute equal power to both wheels so the one that wasn't spinning is now forced to turn at the same rate as the wheel without traction.

Somebody may be able to provide a better description than I did.

I just read about air lockers (had no idea what they were). The thing I don't understand is what is the advantage of using an air locker over just putting it in 4 wd
In any 4 wheeldrive, you would usually have actually TWO wheel drive. One on the rear axle and one on the front. With lockers, the differentials are locked and power is distributed to all 4 wheels, thus TRUE 4WD. In the case of a two wheel drive 4 cylinder, only one wheel acutally gets power but with lockers TWO would making it a TRUE 2WD truck thereby giving either the 2 or 4 wheel drive BETTER GRIPTION.

Those with the C200K rear want to start e-mail ARB again so they keep this high on their list.
