I think the problem is you live on Oahu and have too many freeways to play on. 
Aggressive driving and shifting to 2nd gear 6 speed
Anyone else miss up shifts to second gear if they drive aggressively?
It will sometimes grind second or be hard to engage. Off road, normal driving is find and aggressive rev matching down shifts are smooth.
I just realized my synchros may be on they way out.

Nope. I find that if it is cold and I do not rev 1st to at least 3K it can be difficult to drop it into 2nd.
