Has anyone had luck finding aftermarket TPMS sensors for the 3rd gen 2022 Frontier? OEM sensors are at least $71 each and would like to know if there are more affordable aftermarket options available for my winter wheels. Tirerack is generally a good resource for affordable TPMS sensors, but in this case they don't have any listed for the 2022 Frontier. I can see that the 2021 Frontier uses a 433 mhz sensor that retails for $31, but it's my understanding that this sensor is not cross-compatible with the 2022 trucks based on discussion of this topic: TPMS Sensor Programming for the 2022? | Nissan Frontier Forum (clubfrontier.org)

thanks!

I am using an Autel programmer and Autel MX sensors on mine. I swapped over my Axis Nismo wheels so the sensors came with it. The Autel isn't updated yet with full OBDII functions for TPMS on the 3.8, but it programmed just fine telling it it was a 2019 with a 4.0.

Virtually any sensor should work so long as it's 433mhz, but I'd stick with OEM, Schrader, or Autel because they will all be guaranteed to work.

There are countless choices for this. Pretty much anybody that installs tea PMS can either clone your original sensors or create brand new ones for it heck I work for a company that sells that stuff and have what you need in my car. Very easy install you should not pay more than 50 bucks and that’s on the high end, I sell those sensors all day long for about $23 to my wholesale customers

Discount Tire will charge you nearly $250 to get a new set of TPMS installed.

My local tire shop is 60 dollars a sensor installed.
That's a great deal.

One of my local tire shop charges $30 for a patch/plug and $25/tire to swap a tire and rebalance (swapping snow tires, etc).

Now I need to replace the other 3. One died back in November, the scan tool said the other 3 batteries were still okay. Now another one went back in February, When I go there soon I am going to have them replace all 3 of them. One and done, but in my case twice and done lol. Under a certain diameter wheel they also charge $25/tire.

Just to clarify, is this $250 while installing new tires you bought from them or walking in and asking to have 4 new sensors installed?
$250 would be walking in and asking to have sensors installed. If part of installing new tires, the fee for labor is absorbed in with that and you're technically just paying for the sensors. Either way you have to pay them to take the tires off and remount them of course.

Maybe consider giving your money to a local business instead of a giant tire conglomerate though, or go to Costco if you have a membership and want a big company. Discount Tire kinda sucks.

The tire does not require removal to install a new TPMS...just break the bead and reach in to do the deed.

Slow down, I'm not the O.P. I was looking to clarify a comment. With that said, for all the flat repairs Discount tire has given me for free over the years as well as almost no upsell, I'll keep going.

On truck tires yeah you can do that most of the time (it's still a pain though). That is generally not possible on low profile tires though, at least not without stressing the sidewall and a lot of work.

I wasn't referring to you specifically, just people in general. You're more than welcome to buy all the tires you want from DT, I do not care.
