I'm looking for slotted or drilled front rotors. Anyone have any suggestions?

Great thanks. I'm at 32,000 miles now and around 26,000 I had my front pads replaced and the rotors shaved at the nissan dealership. Now the rotors are warped and I get a lot of vibration on my steering wheel. So I'm going to check with them first to see if they'll re-do my brakes with new OEM rotors. If not, I'll go with the R1 concepts.

im not 100% impressed with my R1s.

got the oem-style ones (smooth finish). fit is perfect, been on for 20k or so with no grinding or chatter, so for function i'd say they are great-10/10.

but form? the center "hub" came unfinished (on most rotors ive had they are painted black) and looked just like the rest of the rotor - silver and beautiful for install day. but after a week or so, they rusted up (like the contact area would on a rainy day - just surface rust). looks like hell now, and i have the 4-spoke LE wheels (think big gaps between spokes - easier to see the rotor).

so, overall i'd give the R1's a 6/10. maybe the slotted/drilled ones are coated, i cant say for sure. but if you are trying to show off your wheels or anything, i might go a different route.

if you go the R1 route they need a coat of high temp paint before install mine were trashed after a few weeks, though for the price they took a the beating I gave them great

question for discounttiredirect ? have you ever shipped to quebec, Canada? If yes, how much could it be (shipping cost only) for a set of EBC greenstuff front and rear pads, and maybe brake rotor for my fronty? Do I have to worry about customs fee or other?

Thanks

I had the ebc slotted and drilled rotors with green stuff pads. At first I was not all that happy with them but once they where beaded in. They do nothing but grabb when breaking no fade. I would suggest them to anyone that wants to do a break upgrade on a budget

Yes, we do ship to Canada. I am not sure what the rates would be on brakes. You'll need to call our ebay department. I do know that we add prepaid duties and taxes to your invoice so that you don't have any unexpected charges once the product arrives at your door. Give our ebay department a call. They will be happy to give you an accurate quote and can save it in our system for you if you aren't quite ready to make your purchase. 1.888.459.4080. Good news is, EBC product is built in the UK so there shouldn't be any issues getting it to pass customs.

I just recently ordered D/S rotors for my fronty, plus the ceramic pads from R1, when i checked on a status update, they said they were getting the rust prevention coating on them. will post up pics when they come in

I paid $550 shipped for all 4 rotors and for the pads.... although the ebc green pads have always sparked an interest

Powerslot rotors and Hawk LTS pads cured all of my brake problems on my previous F350. The same will be going on my Frontier when the time comes
