its mass they will pull you over with stock exhaust on your truck when they feel like it (true story) the banks mufflers are not the greatest and tend to get eaten alive by road salt. your best bet for power and a nicer sound with out being crazy loud is a custom dual in dual out 2.25 pipe set up with a X pipe. there are a few threads on here with different set ups.

they claim all stainless steel ,guessing not the muffler.
i really dont see or hear many aftermarket pipes going down the road anymore.
i gonna do something anyhow ,what do you reccomend ?(Flowmasters),thats my second choice, thinking bout having lous custom exhaust do something soon.
dual in dual out sys would require the spare to be removed?

I am with irongrave, skip the Banks. Their mufflers tend to break down pretty easily and to warranty them, you have to pay for shipping which defeats the purpose. Plus, they use a 3" pipe which is going to affect your TQ.

If you want to keep it cheap, go JBA else go custom. Custom would be 2.25" pipe into a dual in muffler with either a dual out or single out dumped to the side. There is no reason to go out the back since you will have to either run without a spare (which is retarted) or run a smaller spare (only if you run smaller tires too). An x-pipe is not needed in this set-up since the muffler does that job. You may want to add a resonator or 2 if using a dual out muffler to cut down on drone. It has been tried and tested by many members and nobody has said anything negative yet about this kind of set-up.

If yor a crew cab long bed I reccomend the cherry bomb cat back system. Or have one built using the parts I listed in my thread. It's not too loud and seems to have that "just right" sound. I don't believe 3" pipe is too big if it's being used for the tailpipe as long as your using 2.25" pipe from the cats to the muffler. The cherry bomb system uses a 3" tailpipe and have not lost any power or torque compared to stock or even my previous setups.
