Ok strange question, I just had a Pioneer head unit installed in my 12 Pro4X. They used the pioneer Bluetooth mic instead of my OEM mic. They just clipped the new one to the headliner. So everytime I use my visors or put the sunshade up, the mic gets bumped and dislodged.

Anyone ever use the OEM mic with an aftermarket stereo or just put the aftermarket mic in the OEM spot?

Had my head unit replaced last year and my installer relocated mine by the gas gauge on your speedo console. Works perfectly and actually better than OEM.

The OEM BT mic is garbage and its partially due to the opening that it is placed in from what I can tell so I would actually refrain from putting it there unless you open it up so that it is able to more clearly capture WTF is being said.

I guess I'll just stick with where it's at now. I can always put it back into place after I use the sunshade. If it gets too bad, then I'll move it onto the steering wheel column. Thanks all.
