I was on the Frontier Facebook page yesterday and seen a few guys having problems with coolant getting into the tranny. I want to check mine and see before the problem arises. I saw the bypass and will most likely do it this weekend. How do I go about checking the actual fluid? from the dipstick it looked fine but I wasn't looking specifically for that.

I have an 07 LE crew cab v6 auto 104k. I also seen some have the extra smaller radiator in the front is this for the tranny fluid? If so does that mean I'm safe from having to worry about it?

Be proactive. Imho, the Stillen CSF all-aluminum radiator would be my next mod especially if I towed or hauled much and ran an '05-'10 auto trans Fronty.

(At 104K = almost time for new spark plugs!)

I got a CSF radiator from nissanraceshop they always seem to have it on sale for $350
CSF Racing Radiator ? Frontier/Pathfinder/Xterra ? Nissan Race Shop

It's a beautiful piece and is bolt-in no modifications, no need for external trans cooler with more lines to leak or bust.

Please take a look at the top of your radiator if the aluminum is peeling back from the plastic and you see any green coloring it's starting to leak and isn't long for this world. A new CSF radiator kills two birds with one stone.
