So I've added an aftermarket Kenwood DDX23BT stereo with bluetooth to my 2008 KC NISMO. Thought I was gonna leave off the steering wheel controls, but I'm finding I miss them and want to get them hooked up.

I was walking through the AXXESS ASWC-1 install guide and it shows a sinlge 16 pin harness. But, I used the Metra 70-7550 harness when installing the headunit, which connected to 2 of the 4 harnesses originally on the stock headunit (6 disc, no RF badging).

Does anyone know what wires to connect the ASWC-1 to in this case?

And, if I do the bluetooth bypass outlined by AXXESS, will I retain the bluetooth functionality on the steering wheel controls?

Thanks!

I just did this in my 2016. I looks like the 2008 factory radio plug is different than the 2015-16. Their instructions leave a lot to be desired. I would suggest you call them. While I was able to figure mine out, I hear they are helpful when you call.

Just to clarify this for anyone who stumbled onto it in the future, you would still tap into that 16-pin harness even enough it is not tired into the metra kit. That is what is connecting the ASWC to the vehicles wiring to the steering wheel. The aux type connector on the axxess is what will tie that into the headunit.

This thread came back from the dead, oh well.

70-7550 is the wrong harness, that is only for the 2005-2007 with a 16-pin harness.

2008-up is 20-pin, Metra #70-7552 for basic install, or add +3 extra wires to it for ASWC
