So, I'm having some trouble figuring out where to put my inbound accessory switches. I wanted to go up high, but my truck does not have an overhead console and I'm not sure I really wanna spend $100+ to pick up the stock one. It's OTRATTW's 6 gang plate with 5 switches/1 blank I have coming in. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can mount it up between the visors without it looking like complete crap or know where I can get either a more affordable overhead console or a bigger/better one for that kinda price that's compatible?

Some folks use the console by the shifter using either rocker or toggle type switches. WestRacing01 has a nice setup.

I just added the six gang up top - they are pretty big switches from OTRATTW, but I'm happy with them. Have the 6th switch on order from them.

Down the road, I'll upgrade to Switch Pros (similar to SPOD for Jeeps) - pretty pricey but you can never have too many aux switches. They just came out with it last year - waiting for a few enhancements before I buy as with any new 1st gen for them to work out any bugs.

How/where did you mount your switches?

Yeah, those pics show the setup I had envisioned. But I don't have that console to mount them to :(

I've seen the Switch Pro mounted above the rear view mirror and on the ceiling - not sure if you can fab a big enough container depth wise to hide the wiring to fit above the mirror if you go with the 6 gang. My ScanGauge II fits perfectly there and I have a radar detector mounted below the mirror too for a cleaner look.

Next and probably one of the few remaining options would be by the shifter or below the steering wheel.

The sPOD looks great and in an ideal universe I'd prob jump for it, but for those who don't have $345.00+ to drop on a panel kit, does anyone know what the absolute deepest component dimensions would be that could fit in the blank panel behind the mirror? Looking to do something similar but at a price that won't get me divorce #2. LOL.

I put mine in the sunglasses compartment
Since I don’t use my sunglass compartment for sunglasses because I wear prescription glasses I think it is a great fit take a look at my signature

Just as an aside, anyone photograph or note how to get the overhead console and a-pillar apart far enough to run wiring cleanly from the overhead? Not that I mind experimentation to find out on my own but I see that others have done the same thing I'm going to follow, using the overhead panel at the rear of the domelights for my six switch panel and relocate the telephone microphone to another location nearby, and I like to plan things before tearing stuff apart. Switches and panel on order now.

Hi Ryan! Did you ever get around to doing this? I ordered a 6gang switch plate and 6 switches from OTRATTW on my 2019 p4x and I am wondering the same thing!

Thanks!

Yupper, sure did. They work great and can be just as easily accessed from the passenger's seat as well. Link to schematics:
