So Yeah if I do stop and go I start to sweat. I noticed the condesor fan wasnt coming and tested it, and found out it was bad. So I got a new one and it worked when I put it on, well Im still having the problem and havnt seen the condensor fan come on since I installed it. Any Ideas. I have heard that the thermal control amplifier is just like the knock sensor on these things. But I head it just shut the compressor down. Mine shuts down after its set and no air running threw the condensor.

I asked the same a couple of months ago. I was told that there is a reason it doesn't cool as well at idle (can't remember why). I get 42 degree air when on the road or when moving. At idle I get about 55 degrees. My Lexus OTOH doesn't change when idling.

make sure you have the a/c set to "recirc" or recirculate mode. on our 04 xterra the vent where the a/c supposedly gets it's air from is in the cowl and what happens is engine heat gets sucked in. also you may want to check if you have air in your a/c lines....
