My AC wasn't working so I bought one of those cans from autozone with coolant and stop-leak....didn't work. It spit everything right out of a pin hole on my condensing unit. It may work for yours, give it shot, there's nothing to lose except a couple of bucks.

Your A/C system works on the principle of pushing highly pressurized gas through small holes in the expansion valve. How exactly is it a good idea to put something in there that plugs small holes? The vendors of this cure-in-a-can stuff say that it seeks out air or moisture but I refuse to believe that it's a great idea. Same for the radiator leak stop. All of these cure-in-a-can deals are there for someone to dump in there right before a trade-in.

I would recommend that you replace the hose and the dryer, vacuum the system down and recharge properly.

I'll second that. There are no quick or cheap cures in A/C.

134-A is sensitive. Will not work (distroys compressor) if the lube is not just exactly right and NO additives known are beneficial. Just the right lube in the right amount and pure 134-A.
