hello to everyone, i have a 01 4cyl 5 speed 140k.. just recently my shifter started sticking while I'm driving, mostly happens when going from second.. I can take it out of 2nd but cant going into another gear, i have to play with it for a second and then it will let me continue shifting?????

Have you changed the trans fluid?

yes just last week but its still the same. I was thinking possibly something with the shifter, i don't think its the clutch it feels strong.but if anyone has any ideas, let me know . thanx

There was someone recently who said there was a bushing at the base of the shifter that he needed to replace. Another post had an issue with the lockout spring. I'm not familiar with these shifters with internal linkage. In the old days it was all external and replacing or adjusting was easy to do.
