A/C control help, I need to open the dash. Help, I searched
Happy Sunday peoples.
I think my A/C button is not working properly. The Heat works fine at all levels and areas.
The A/C works on level 1, when I turn it up to 2,3 or 4 the A/C light turns off and it only blows air. I can hear whatever motor or compressor it is to power the A/C turn off when It happens.
So i'm thinking the A/C button is not holding properly. In my 1st gen I pulled the dash open and found the button latch was not grabing where it should be to keep the A/C running.
I found on here there should be 2 screws on the sides of the lower dash and 2 more under the center dash.
Will they open dash so I can play witht he A/C controls?

sweet thanks man, looks like that is what i need to do to get the ac controls. Is that a special tool he used to pop off the panel? looks like a bent screw driver.

just be careful it is not hard to scratch it up.
. if you are going to do it alot i recommend buying the tools for it.
i wish i did before i scratched it up.
atleast its not to bad and its a truck so it will be alright

SO i pulled it off and the ac/contols are all electric so i'm stuck.
