Well I have a question, condenser fan stopped working and I noticed this when the A/C wasn't cooling enough. Checked fuses and relays and all are good, ran the IPDM self-test and the fan DOES work at both speeds as intended with the test. I turn on the A/C and the condenser fan does NOT turn on (as it did before, I could hear it), but the compressor clutch does cycle like it normally does. A/C system was working perfectly right before the winter storm (freeze) that hit Texas last week, (we are currently hitting temperatures of 85-90 degrees) connector to the fan does not seem to get power or signal for the fan to turn on with the A/C but it powers as it should when the IPDM self-test is ran.
Would the A/C pressure sensor located in the passenger side of condenser be the one signaling the condenser fan to turn on?
It has 3 wires, how can I test it? I have disconnected it and the fan does not turn on but I do hear it affects compressor operation (cuts off if unplugged).
By the way, engine is not overheating.
I did search the forum with no luck, did read a couple of threads with a similar issue but seems the OPs never went back to post a resolution. Thank you in advance for any help.
