I am considering getting the V-LED 921 for the cargo lights. My questions is are they really that much brighter than other bubs. I currently have a 9-SMD 921 LED bulb and I wish it were brighter. But I don't know if I want to spend the $60. Any input?

I started out with nokia 9smds and wasn't happy with them. I just put the v-led 14 smd high power LED in my cargo lights. I got them on clearence for $35 and they are brighter than stock! I just looked and didn't see them listed on v-leds any more so they must have closed them out. Compared to the cheapo 9 SMD the benefit/drawback is that they are really bright l can hardly look at them directly, but do light up the bed quite a bit better.

I have the 19 SMD hight power :

V-LEDS HID WHITE 19 M-SMT 8W HIGH POWER BULBS 917 918 920 921 922 923 B/O

in my backup lights and they are DEFINITELY WAY brighter than your 9 SMD, but may be overkill for your cargo lamps at $60 bucks...but make great reverse light upgrades. Unfortunately they are the sort of thing you have to see in person to understand, but I really recommend V-leds!
