so -
Barbara has been plotting and scheming about our 35L Canyon Cooler and the dry ice option. she even drew a schematic of the cooler to plan protein packs(chicken, turkey, fish, cow, spam) portions to fit and a wet ice compartment with upper tray for assorted chuck box necessities. wow!- this is shaping up to be the shake down prep trip for the great MOAB2016 adventure.

the Crewmaxxis rig will also be on shakedown operation! The photos of the surgery are amazing! ::smile:::fantastic:

I suspect it will have qualified to become a "Trailer Queen" but, I would hope it will be able to traverse the highways and byways legally in style and pride!:urock:

I'm officially in super dooper Hollister excitement mode - now counting days, almost counting hours!

I'll be leaving town mid day Friday. Depending on traffic, I expect to be at Sycamore Camp around 6ish, maybe a little later.

If any of you early arrivers is able to text me the gate code in case I get there later than expected, that would be lovely.

We prefer to get on the trail as early as possible. Having said that, it depends on how everyone is feeling after the previous nights festivities... If you could try to be there by 9, it would be appreciated. The line to pay the entrance fee's can be pretty long on sat morning, so please keep that in mind.

We will be monitoring CH 22 and once we leave the CG, cell service is available in a few area's.

Maybe I should have said that 'I will have cell service in a few area's'. My Verizon service works in quite a few spots....

In my 7 or 8 trips to Hollister, I have never had any kind of reliable service except at the top of McCray. I might occasionally see 1 or 2 bars but even then have had text messages fail to send. I'll likely just turn my phone off all weekend.

Of course...I'll use airplane mode. I only ever use my phone for the GPS on wheeling trips anyway...it's not like I have service anywhere in Nevada either.

Not counting hours yet? You can't be THAT excited then.
