I have a 2001 2.4l 2wd frontier. I have a 3" body lift and new UCA's and Shackels. Making it 6" in the front and 4.5" in the back. Now i know that bigger tires will slow me down so im gettin a wep-r intake and pacesetter headers to make up for the lost HP. I want to run a MT tire and Cragar soft 8 wheels from summit. I want to know if you all have any idea of what size tire and wheel combination would be the best for my truck. I was thinking of 32x1100x15 on 15x8 wheel.

Thanks for any help.

research, trial and error?? idk man 32 seems small. even with a header and cai its gunna be a turd. no offense. but your gunna be workin that poor thing hard with big tires.

does 1" of wheel weigh more than 1" of tire?

i figured it would reduce the load if there wasnt as much tire being pulled around. im not very smart at this stuff thats why im on here.
well you may have a point there, but im sayin rather you go 15 or 16 inch wheel and whatever tire size you choose-i dont think they are gunna be that much different in weight? i could be wrong here.

265 is the width, 70 is the height in relation to the width, and 16 is the wheel size. metric can get confusing but once you in it for a little bit it really becomes easy to understand. A 32 will be expensive because its not a common size anymore. Going to a 16 opens up your metric options to really find a tire that will fit you opening well. If you get a side shot of the truck and let me know whats on there know i could probably give you a ball park of what could work.

im thinkin maybe a 33? or heck a 32 may be just fine for the 2wd im used to 4x4 and how they sit higher, so in your case with 6" i bet a 32 may not look bad

but yeah we need some pics

they are these Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10. They only come in 33s and then it goes metic with 16" wheels if any of yall that know how metic works could look into this i would appreciate it. heres all the 16" wheel sizes.

I hate to say it, but your gonna hate the larger tires. Its gonna be like pulling the spark plug out of 1 cylinder for performance. 6" is alot of lift, Im at 4" and can do alot. Even my 305/285-70/75 16's where a noticeable change in acceleration and fuel economy. I would look at treadwrites(retreads of At's, Muds etc) they much cheaper and if you dont like the size/weight youre not out as much as a full blown new tire

Here's what your truck would look like with cragar soft 8's. Pictured with a 3" suspension lift and a missing front center cap:thumbsup:.

My 04 KC 4x4 with 3" SL 16x8 Cragar soft 8's. Hankook Dynapro ATm RF 10 245/75-16. Basically 30 1/2- 31" equivalent size tire. Tires look fine for a 3" lift but too small for a BL too.

I'm almost ready for my 3" BL. That will give me 6"total lift like your truck. I've been tire shopping recently and found that high flotation size tires for a 15" rim are cheaper than the 16" metric sizing equavelent. Don't know why. Just what I keep seeing at every tire dealer I go to.

I still have my factory 15" wheels at the moment so I have a choice of 15 or 16" tires. I haven't decided between a 32 or 33" equivalent tire. Either will look fine with that lift IMO. I've seen pix of 1st gens with both sizes.

As a side note, The 16"steel wheels are heavier than the 15" factory alloy ones. at least 5 lbs more per wheel.
