I found this price for the Calmini this morning, Calmini 5 4wd Lift (KNP17500) KNP17500

This is the lowest price I have found yet so monday is order time, before I do it is it worth it? I am planning on upgrading to the coil overs that PRG offers, but as a base kit is it worth it?

Thanks in advance

its ok. the front crossmember acts like a bulldozer. but its pretty sturdy, and does what its supposed to do. i plan on throwin on the prg coils, and a rear spring pack as soon as i get some cash. i also going to put the prg spacer that i had previouly back on for additional lift. hopefully get about eight inches of total lift when finished. then 35's. oh damn, it never ends does it

you'll be fine with mild offroad. He has those new 2.5's coilovers that are much bigger then the first design. You'll love it. you should paint it before you instal, thats what i should of done.
How durable is the kit? do you have any pictures of your truck with just the 5" kit? Would I have to modify anything to fit 33" tires with just the kit?

Sorry for all the ?'s, thanks

i will post some for you of just the 5 inch later tonite.. its hawaii time right now so maybe around 11pm over here, probably like 3am in the morning for you but my pictures are on my gf's computer.. i say its pretty durable. i dont jump it or rock crawl, but it does take me through lava rocks and a bunch more camping/fishing spots we have here. i wanted to upgrade my coilovers also , so maybe if you want to save like 150 bucks or something you could buy mines and i'll upgrade mines.. Nothing wrong with them let me know. ohh yah, if you have cardomaindotcom, check out my truck it has 5 inch lift only on it. i have the same username also..

after seeing JR's bend when he hit a rock i'd never do a DB lift on a gen 2 your too tall. a 4in lift titan swap and 33s is the best combo currently for the gen 2s until there are more gear options. Low COG rigs are the way to go if your going to be wheeling
