Bought my '06 Frontier King Cab V-6 SE 4x4 four years ago in Kalispell, MT and now live in Tulsa, OK. I've 71K on the odometer and all i've spent money on is for oil changes, tires, air filters and wiper blades, period. Drove the Frontier and Tacoma several times and bought my Frontier because it was $2500 less, performed better, handled better and YOU COULD SEE OUT OF IT from the superb seating position. Have regularly gotten 21-22, even 23mpg hwy mileage, especially out West at altitudes of 4,000 to 7,000 feet. Issues with this truck? Interior plastic scratches easily, front suspension easily upset over pavement irregularities/r.r. tracks/etc., and the most annoying- an incurable loud knocking from the engine under light load, in the initial five minutes of operation in temps under 45 degree fahrenheit. I'll detail this in a post and would truly appreciate any expertise anyone out there has on this subject. Thanks for listening.
