Can I see who has the most miles accumulated on their 4 cylinder '05 and newer Frontiers?? List any problems you have had with your Frontier..

Mine is an 08 with 5,600 miles and no problems.

The only thing you will be pissed about is stone chips. Get the factory mud flaps, if you don't already have them. Also, invest in a good set of step rails or running boards. Also, get a bug shield to protect the hood. The engine and drive train are solid, and you have a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty if anything unexpected comes up. Get an extended warranty so you won't lose any sleep.

Xtopherphishing: I hust have to ask judging by the types of questions you pose on this forum, are you a bit paranoid that your '08 4 cyl with a mere 5600 miles is in mortal danger of falling apart in the near future? I have 18k on my '07 XE 5 speed manual and it just keeps ticking along. I never worry about it as I've owned 4 cyl Nissan trucks before ('90 hardbody) and know that they're generally pretty trouble-free. Why so concerned?

Well, I have no previous experience with NIssan and I just can't believe for the price I paid ($17,100.00 including taxes and license fees) that I have a vehicle that performs as well as this one does and won't turn out to be a lemon. Sooooo....I am glad to hear some of you are having such good luck with yours and wanted to see all 4 cylinder owners posts (expecially those who have put lots of miles on their 05 or later frontiers) to ally my fears. Yeah, I'm paranoid about vehicles. My last truck was an IZUSU AMIGO---1998. It was a fun truck to drive but components in it were GM junk. Hope that anwers your question. Thanks for asking.

thanks Nismo, I do have the mudflaps (front and back) and also have the stone chip protector for the front hood. Don't have the step rails but I have long legs so getting in and out is easy for me. Glad to hear your experiences have been good.

Just checked the invoice on my '07 XE 5 spd. w/power everything purchased in Jan '07 and total came to $17763, so with the passage of time and bigger factory rebates, sounds like we both did OK. You seem like the kind of guy who doesn't abuse a vehicle, so quit worrying. You'll be fine. BTW, the reason these trucks seem so cheap at these prices is because they're very inexpensive to make and, when times get tough as they are now, the manufacturer can drop prices further than they can on more content-rich sedans and still make a buck or two.

Could you elaborate more on why you needed a new transmission? I have an 06 5spd and am a bit concerned. I only have 11K on mine as I do not drive it much and I know my warranty will be up long before I get 30 K miles.

I hang out with Sly almost everyday and let me just say there are certain things stock XE's aren't meant to do. I'll let him explain the rest.

Don't lie to the man. Towing 1k pounds wouldn't do it. Tell him what you really did quite often
