Hey guys,
I'd imagine some of you guys have 3d printers and I am curious what truck parts you've made. Even if you don't have a printer, ideas are always welcome. I've done more on other vehicles, but on my frontier I've only designed and printed a USB replacement for the 3.5mm jack, and a bullydog mount for the head liner. I'll probably print a rocker switch panel to go in place of the stock Bluetooth speaker at some point, bit am always looking for ideas.

Ive done some with my older Pathfinder, I printed a fuse panel setup for my winch and secondary battery. Used PETG and it has held up fairly well other than a little bit of warping but not enough to warrant any more supports.

Also @starion4g64t I wanted to try to reach you about your for sale post but i have to wait another week to be able to respond to your post. Can you send me a DM please?

For this truck I've only done a phone stand for the pocket above the center stack and a mount for my brake controller. Next on the list is to print a switch blank that I can insert (assuming I can get it apart) the smaller portion of the switch from my heated mirrors timer.

why not make it into something that could be useful, like another USB power point?

Anybody try to print a cup holder insert that looks oem but holds something bigger than a 12oz can and doesn't stick to everything that you put in it? One that would hold a large tumbler somewhat snug but stay put when you take a drink would be awesome! If I take my inserts out then holes are way too big and the inserts don't let my tumbler sit all the way down and wedge onto bottom of tumbler. I've seen quite a few posts with same problems and aftermarket is non existent. Maybe a group buy if a prototype is made...
My tumbler measures 3" at the base and measures around 3.5" at widest part that sits in cup holder.
Just an idea that might be pretty popular.

I remember someone used to sell one a while ago on one of the 3D forums but they disappeared... this might be a good idea still. That or a faceplate panel that fits turns the sunglasses holder into a switch pod, maybe

Random comment: Widebody Starion ESI-R/Conquest TSI's were awesome back in the day (y)

I made these rack mounts awhile back, albeit on a big SLS printer with PA12. I'm in the market for an at-home printer though, maybe an Ender Pro to start. I always thought some divider type part that drops into the center console armrest could be useful for storage organization.

This is probably a great idea, I feel that pain, lol, just a less sticky slightly larger rubber textured insert would be nice for my metal quart sized cups.

well, I just joined this forum to ask a question. I’ve just purchased a 2022 frontier. I had a Nissan Leaf. Bothhave a problem with viewing the screen when the sun is at aparticular angle.
Has anyone considered 3d printing a good looking visor that might help this situation?

thanks!

I know there are some Mazda drivers who made a visor for the screen. Could see if it’s similar
