The 315's I am planning, on running are wider (12.7) then the tires I am currently running (10.4). 2.3 wider .
The off set of the stock wheel is 30mm(1,182).
This would make the 315's stick .232 less farther out than what I have now.
Is this correct?

Are you changing wheels too?

Yes. that was the reason I am doing all the changes.
Are you thinking that the wheel width matters?
I thought if that too.
I don't think it matters.
If the section width is 12.7, the width of the wheel should not change.
Stock wheel width is 7.5
The Method wheel is 8.5 off set 0

i thought the stock wheel width was 7 inches. could be wrong though. i believe the extra inch of rim is not centered, rather basically adds an inch to your offset. When i added 16x8 rims with a 0 offset it added like 1.75 of poke and i think an inch of that came from the rim width. I could be mistaken though and im not sure how this all comes into play with tire width besides the look of bulge haha

You maybe right about the stock wheel being 7" wide.
This elementary school quiz got me all mixed up!
I like to blame it on the lack of sleep from ordering parts, cancelling parts and will be returning parts!
I guess I can grab another expresso and do more research! lol
7INCHES!

@whistler the section width of a tire is semi fluid being that if the width of a wheel changes the bulge of the tire can also change. If you stretch a narrow tire onto a wide wheel the section width gets stretched to the max and a chance of going over.

What are all your wheel and tire measurements now

What are you leaning towards with your new tire and wheel choices.

P.S. I pmed you.

Yes,I agree that it is fluid and will change.
I asked a friend if rim size affects the over all width?
He said basically the same. That a tire will "swim" side to side in a wheel, more when the rim size is too small for the tire.
315 section width, 12.7
265 section width, 10.8
stock wheel width, 7" (30 mm off set, 1,182 inches.
Method wheel width, 8.5 off set, 0
stock wheel , 3.5 + 1.182 = 4.682
Method wheel ,4.25+.950(difference in width).=5.2
This is where most will dislike. wheel spacers
This is what was on it . 1.75 spacer + 4.682=6.432"
5.2+2.5(new spacer)= 7.7".
315 will be farther out by 1.268 .

That looks to be a pretty good calculation.
You might loose a little bit of section width running on a 8.5, better would be getting a 10+ wheel, that would also help reduce swimming. That would also put you more towards your projected 12.7 section width.

Tires mounted on wheels, I try and describe them as a balloon inside of a PVC pipe. The smaller the pipe (wheel width) the more muffin topping you have. The larger the pipe the more vertical the sidewall (less muffin topping)

Do you still have the upper and lower control arms, inners and outers for sale?

Thanks for your input and checking my numbers.
Not an enjoyable task unless you are a math nerd like me!
Yes , I still have the arms, as well as the extended tie rods .

You are planning to run a wider spacer on your lower offset wheels, is this correct?

If so, you'll essentially be going from:
7.0 ET-15 (ET30 w/~45mm spacers) w/265
to
8.5 ET-64 (ET00 w/~64mm spacers) w/315

Looking at the wheels alone, going from 7.0 ET-15 to 8.5 ET-64 is pushing the wheel outer position by 68mm. Looking at tires independent of wheel widths, you're pushing the centerline of your tires out by ~50mm due to your final offset on the newer setup Vs older setup. Then add that the newer tires are ~2" wider (1" on each side of the centerline) and that 315 on an 8.5 will generally balloon a bit more than 265 on a 7.0 (assuming profiles and wheel diams are comparable). That all said, properly factoring in tires is virtually impossible due to ballooning/pinch, inconsistencies in tire dimension measurements, sidewall designs, constructions, and of course PSI.

If I'm understanding your plan correct, I'd estimate your new setup (8.5 ET00 + 2.5" spacers w/315) to be ~2.5" pushed out beyond the current setup (7.0 ET30 + 1.75" spacers w/265) if measured at the outermost position. It could even be a bit more.

Funny thing, I was going to ask about the PRG UCA / Titan LCA / Tie rods also, haha.

I am running the spacers on the rear differential.
The reason is I need to go to the 315's for greater ground clearance but I want to go to a all terrain C rating.
Sidewalls are too stiff with the MT's.

Someone mentioned Pathfinder wheels.
Not a bad looking wheel and would
316819
serve the purpose at a reasonable cost saving.
Place wants $150 apiece.
Going to ask for a discount since U am going to order 8.
