I searched but I'm not coming up with a lot about this size on a Frontier. The 235/85-16 is the same diameter as the 265/75-16, but the tread is slightly more narrow. The big draw to this size is price...I can save about $125 a set on the more aggressive tires on the market if I were to go with 235s. My concern is appearance. They will fit a stock 7" wheel just fine. They will cut through rain, mud, and snow great. Functionally I know they'd be perfect. I just don't know how they'll look.
