Well the first legitimate change I made to my truck just happened: new tires. After a lot of research and debate, I went with the 235/85/16 because reasons. Honestly I've been impressed thus far, especially with how the truck rolls after letting off the gas. I can legitimately feel less drag, as the truck rolls more smoothly and loses speed at a slower rate than it did with the original tires.

I haven't attempted to crawl up any nigh vertical embankments or the like, but those AT/3s didn't bat an eyelash at a pesky curb I happened upon yesterday. Bam! fourwheelin!

I'll have to put a tape measure to them, all though I never bothered to measure the stock tires.

The road noise is negligible. I haven't noticed any at all.

OP, I think your "less drag" feeling is because the tires are heavier and have more mass, so when up to speed tend to to keep rolling/ be less overcome by the air resistance hitting the truck. You might get the same effect if you have a bed full of weight.
There is a weight to aero drag effect here.
I say this help.
How has the mpg's been? On the highway mainly, as intown driving is too variable. How has mpg changed?

Cooper Discoverer AT/3: 235/85 R16 = 31.7" x 9.3", 43 lbs.

Stock SV: 265/70 R16 = 30.6" x 10.4". 35 lbs.

Stock Pro-4X: 265/75 R16 = 31.6" x 10.4", 39 lbs.

Graveyard thread revival... but I run 235/85r16 and LOVE them, I have the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's and my truck can climb things I never would have dreamed it can do, absolutely love the size and don't think I will ever change it! Tall and skinny cuts through snow and mud awesome in BC Canada here on the trails I go on.

Here as well. LT235/85r16 General Grabber A/TXs Load E. Heavy and took an MGP hit but they are beastly. Ready to hit some trails when the snow breaks.

lol, also, yes, i bet you feel less drag when you let off the gas. The tires are so heavy that it keeps pushing the truck forward. That is not a good thing for mpg's. You ever towed a trailer downhill? you get pushed too...
