  • Changed yellow fogs to Alla Lighting from Amazon. These have been much better. The JDM lights started flickering and gave out, received replacements and happened again. These have been solid (10/05/2022 update)

Next up, a lift (likely "AllDogs Offroad 3 - 4" Budget Lift Kit - Nissan Frontier" with 2" body lift) and some bronze Cosmis MRII wheels (17x8.0, +15mm, 6x114.3) with 285/70r17 Wranger Duratrac tires. I like the wheel and going with the Duratrac based on reviews and I want a hybrid versus AT or MT. Going for esthetics mainly, and also considering the Level 8 MK6 wheel. Also, not necessarily stuck on the aforementioned tire size. I've seen what not having the mud flaps can to to the paint so I kind of want to keep them, which I understand is limiting. I've spent a lot of time going through builds here, threads, etc. I know I haven't seen nearly everything but this is one of my favorite trucks here. Feedback welcome!

Thank you Johnieboy. It's amazing how lights can transform the look of a vehicle so drastically. More important than the appearance is the improved visibility. The high beams are the best I've ever had on a vehicle too.

I mentioned bronze previously but thought about it before pulling the trigger and went with these instead. I figured the darker color would look better overall, considered the yellow fogs too. Second package arrives tomorrow and then making an appointment with Discount Tire.

Very light rubbing at full turn. It doesn't sound/seem like a big deal but who wants rubbing? I may address or see if it goes away if I end up lifting.

...and so it begins. FedEx dropped off four of these little beasts today - CT Sounds MESO-6-5. I'm waiting on the box, ordered this one and it's a couple of weeks out. I'm going with CT Sounds speakers for the doors and dash too. For amps I'll be using my JL Audio Slash 1200/1v3 and picking up another 4 channel JL amp. I'm buying a new head unit as well. Likely ordering wiring from Sky High.

I bought Skar EVL 6.5's and a Skar RP-1200.1 on black Friday but decided to go with CT Sounds and my JL amp instead. I'm giving the Skar gear to my son and building a box with him for his car.

The wheels and tires look nice on the truck, but I'm a little curious why go with such an aggressive tire. Is there a lift planned for the future?

Hey JetBlack, yes I will likely be lifting it in the spring or summer. I mentioned a body lift in my original post but not doing that, and the more I educate myself on the forum, I will probably go with the maximum recommend lift where I will keep at least stock functionality. Meaning, I'd like it lifted but not with spacers and would not do something like the Rough Country 6" where it can't easily be returned to stock, not that I'd plan to.

The reason for the tire is performance in the snow and overall wet conditions. Esthetics is definitely up there too. Any reasons why I shouldn't have? I can hear it a little bit while driving if not listening to music but it's not loud by any means.

Good choice on the wheels. I never really liked stock Pro-4x wheels and those look way better. The yellow fogs look right too.

I can't wait to see how you plan to install those subs...they look huge!

Thanks! I read a lot on here and was inspired by a couple of members' trucks with the wheel choice. Being able to keep the flaps was important to me, hence the stock tire size, though the slight offset rubs, but I knew it likely would. My other cars have yellow fogs too, only seemed right that the Frontier got the treatment also, especially to compliment the Morimoto headlights.

I've spent time in Raine's audio post and website as well. I've been into aftermarket car audio since I got my first truck many years ago. I'm excited too like a kid at Christmas, can't wait!

I know this doesn't help but they're not heavy at all, came two to a box. Interesting though that Cosmis doesn't list the weight. I didn't check as I figured they'd be close to or lighter than stock. Stock wheels are usually heavier, in most cases anyway.

I went with the upgraded leaf pack as I plan to add a cap to this truck. I'm happy with the results, however the tire rub on mud flaps got worse. I trimmed those today. I used the pictured Milwaukee sheers to cut through like butter and rounded off a bit with the Dremel.

Alldogs was great to work with. Their communication and overall customer service is fantastic. Their website states to ask ahead of ordering to make sure parts are in stock. My wait was about six weeks. I was in no rush and therefore the wait did not matter.

Thank you for the compliment. I've wanted a Frontier since the '90's and 2021 was my year. I took a couple more pictures so let me know if you'd like a different angle. This is the right front. The back is exactly 1.5" taller at 37". I could certainly tell but didn't want to look too much, but thinking about solutions to level it out.
