I'm a couple days away from buying a very slightly used (4000 kms) 2016 Frontier Pro-4X King Cab with with a 6sp manual.

A couple of things I am going to miss (as compared to a Pro-4X Crew Cab) is the Rockford Fosgate stereo with subwoofer and leather seats.

While I know that the # of speakers will be different between the King and Crew cabs, I was wondering if anyone took a Rockford Fosgate system out of a wrecked Crew Cab and successfully installed it.

Additionally, anyone put in Crew Cab leather seats in their King Cab?

what year is the donor CC? Are the leather seats powered? If no, or the 2016 also has powered seats, they should/will bolt right up. The RF will be a bit more involved. Again the starting question is the MY of donor and what infotainment does the 2016 have?

I don't have a donor yet but I'm guessing something similar in year (2014 - 2016) with powered leather seats and for the RF - the one with the 6 inch display.

The King Cab has the 6 inch display but it's not RF - so no subwoofer, upgraded speakers (not sure if the head unit has any improvements in the Crew Cab RF system)

What about aftermarket speakers? Jbl, pioneer, etc... Rockford fosgate is like Bose: you pay a lot for the name, but not necessarily the best sound.

Want nice quality leather get katzkin leather seat cover replacements.
Nissans leather is more vinyl than anything, I've had them on a few trucks and not impressed.
As far as radios maybe crutchfield can get you a better setup?

I was hoping for an OEM look as much as possible (especially for the stereo). The Katzkins might be a good option, especially if they can make them look OEM with the Pro-4X logo.

Do you think there is a difference in the sound quality between the Rockford Fosgate headunit vs the stock head unit with 6" screen?

Is it just the speakers and subwoofer that makes the difference?

It still is not fair that you can still get a 6 speed King Cab up there. I would order one if they would let me, but for some reason even though they are from the same plant here in the US, we can't get one since 2015. As for the Stereo, the best stock system is about on par with any medium low system from the major aftermarket manufacturers, but as they say, replace the speakers and the stock system will sound so much better than it currently does if you want a stock head.
