I recently purchased a 2016 Nissan Frontier. It runs great. All the literature that I have says that it has a 21 gallon fuel tank. The fuel warning light recently came on. The problem is that when I filled up the tank it only took 15 gallons. That makes sense because I had only gone around 273 miles. There is no way the fuel light should come on when the tank has 6 gallons left in it. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Tell you the truth usually my fuel warning lit comes on and it says I have 33 miles DTE. If I fill up right then I get 18.5gals. Give it a couple tanks, if your still only getting 15gals in there take it to the dealer.

My light comes on and it fills about 18 gal... it comes on early because it gets 15-20mpg. realistically you could be within 45 miles from walking when the bingo light comes on, and too many pod-people, I mean drivers don't pay attention to the guages and wait for the dummy lights.
But the dealer may be able to calibrate it.... what did the guage actually read when it illuminated?

Responses like this are why I rarely come on this site. Flamed for asking a simple question. If you don't want to answer just move on and leave it to people who want to be helpful.

That's usually what I do, sorry.
