I have a 2015 Frontier Pro-4X. Currently I can only engage the rear locking differential if the truck is in 4WD-Low. I know that tuners like the Bully Dog GT will allow for the Jeep Rubicon to engage it's rear locker while in 2WD and 4WD-Hi. Is there a tuner that has the same function for my Frontier Pro-4X? I emailed Bully Dog with this question last week and I have not received a response. I called Bully Dog today and the support guy stated that the tuner for my truck may have the locker function but he could not guarantee it. Any help is much appreciated.

I have never seen or heard of anyone with a tuner to override the rear diff lock on clubfrontier or thenewx.
But there is a thread on thenewx that has info on how to manually change the rear diff lock.
Post #1 has a schematic and page 7 and 8 has some pics.
I have not done this modification .....just passing the info along.
Here is a link to the thread on thenewx:

The above mentioned locker bypass is a new method of doing so. It tricks the system into thinking that the locker is not engaged thus you can engage at any time. You also use the stock swtich.

The older method of the locker bypass is to add a relay and a 2nd switch. This method is slightly more cumbersome to wire up. However it will allow stock functionality of the locker/4low system. Specifically it will turn off ABS when the locker is engaged via the stock switch. This I find to be tremendously helpfully in snowy/ice conditions. I often lock it up and run in 4low just so that I do not have ABS.

So, I installed and updated the Bully Dog GT on my 2015 Nissan Frontier Pro4X. It does NOT have the locker override feature like advertised. It also does NOT have a TOW tune and several other features like advertised. While using the economy tune, I could tell that the gas pedal was less responsive but did not see any difference in the average MPG (which averages between 15 and 16 MPG on my truck). The only significant improvement that the Bully Dog GT offered was while using the performance and extreme tunes. While using both of these tunes, the gas pedal was more sensitive and the engine was more responsive. The truck had better acceleration from being stopped and while traveling at a higher speeds. Since this unit did not have the locker override feature or tow tune, I returned it for a refund. I would recommend the Bully Dog GT only if you seek more power and acceleration from your Nissan Frontier.

Wish someone would actually dyno tune with these results, does it "feel" faster or is it actually making more HP.

My M3 when in Sport mode would increase the sensitivity on the gas pedal and it sure did make it feel faster, but it wasn't

So I don't know if I am doing something wrong (may be my work computer blocking), but the link in the xterra forum for the schematic isn't working. I would like to eventually do this mod. Anyone know of the wire splicing or have a copy of the schematic?
