2015 frontier tail gate spoiler will not drain

All, I have a 2015 Frontier. When it rains the spoiler fills with water and does not drain unless you open the tailgate. Anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you solve it? I can't imagine all that water in there is good (rust, paint damage, etc.)

My wife's '15 Pro-4X doesn't have this problem, but I haven't been looking for it. It has definitely been through several down pours here in HI. I'll verify when I get home.

Just looked at our Fronty, no water that I can see in that area.
