How do you update the firmware on the Rockford system? In my ford they gave you a website with a link, then you could update with a usb jump drive. Also I am still looking for someone that has found a way to view the rear camera while in motion. Mine has a camera button but it does nothing.

Have same truck, same year. From everything I've found the dealer is the only option. But maybe someone will chime in otherwise and we'll both be happy.

I haven't gone through the effort to figure out which wire it is yet, but one of the wires going into the back of the radio is grounded when the truck is put in reverse. Using a couple of diodes to isolate a switch and the rest of the brake light circuit should allow you to flip the camera on when needed.
I am about to do some wiring behind the radio and will try to sort it out. I have done this on a couple other vehicles.
