I destroyed the factory housing that goes around the 7-pin connector and bolts the connector into place on the factory hitch. Does anyone know if I can buy just the mounting housing for the conector. I really hope I don't have to buy a whole new harness just for a $5 piece of plastic.

Chad, I think that's what I need. I mean I have the plug part, it just the plastic housing that's all busted up. I'm going to call my dealer and see how much a new one might cost (if they even sell it).. if it's too much or they don't offer it i'll take it. How would you like payment?

Here are pics of the damage.

Do the wires separate from the plug where the arrow is? Mine came apart easily. If you take the wire harness connector off, it should look just like the connector in the picture I posted.

I don't think the dealer sells just the plug. I think you have to buy the trailer wiring kit with harness and everything.

We should be able to do the payment via paypal.

I do still have it. The only issue is I won't be down in the US for 2-3 weeks for cheap shipping (unless you're in Canada). It will probably be $25 just for shipping. I'd want $35 and I could have it in the mail tomorrow. Let me know.

I can wait a few weeks for the original $20. I'm not in a hurry.

A decent option would also be to get this plug and use the wire harness adapters from your broken 7-pin plug (cut the ends off the new one and solder the 2 harnesses together).

The $10 plugs where you feed the wires through and use the wire clamps let all kinds of moisture in and don't last very long. This one is sealed on the back where the wires go into the plug. And you get 4-pin and 7-pin in a round mount hole for doing the bumper relocation mod.

It's actually cheaper on amazon.

Just found this. I wonder if it actually fits? You could be the first to try it out. It's supposed to be a direct factory replacement for the plug.
