2011 Nissan Xterra, Pathfinder, Frontier and Altima pricing announced — Autoblog

autoblog said:
If a pickup is more your flavor, Nissan will let you hop into a Frontier S King Cab two-wheel drive for $17,750, though the topped-out SL Crew Cab with four-wheel drive, long-wheelbase chassis and a V6 engine coupled to a five-speed automatic gearbox will cost significantly more at $31,630.
Thought some members might be interested in the pricing for the models that are coming out soon!

It seems to be around 200-300 more...so basically a wash once you negotiate price.

So they are dropping SE and LE for SV and SL? What are they supposed to stand for? And the SL is going to be above the PRO-4X!!! Now I don't have the best ;)

I think the SL (LE) has always been slightly more expensive than the nismo/pro-4x models. LE gets the luxury junk and nismo gets the good stuff

So what does S, SL and SV stand for? I can see SE being Special Edition so SV could be Special Vehicle or Special Version?
Stripped or Sport for S?
Sport Luxury for SL?
What is the motive for the letter change? More confusion?

They are just trying to have uniform designations across the product line. They never stod for anything.

Yes the CC pro4x and LE have a manual option now and the manual has been dropped from the CC SL (SE) line up

looking at the prices, I dont think that's right. I think the SL is the LE because the SE was the cheap one.

Oops yeah you are right the LE is now the SL. This is confusing.

as quoted from here: Marginal Changes for 2011 Nissan Titan and Frontier - PickupTrucks.com News

Like its full-sized big brother, the 2011 Frontier also receives the same all-new model names. The entry-level XE, middle-of-the-road SE and high-line LE trim packages have been renamed S, SV and SL, respectively. The PRO-4X off-road package identifier is unchanged.

Other changes include the elimination of a six-speed manual transmission for SL King Cab and SV crew-cab long-wheelbase models and the addition of a six-speed manual for S and PRO-4X crew-cab short-wheelbase trucks. The SV Frontier can be optioned with a Premium Utility Package, and the PRO-4X can be upgraded with an optional Luxury Package. A vehicle immobilizer and bed rail caps are standard on SV, PRO-4X and SL models. The four-cylinder SV Frontier receives upgraded seat fabric to match the SV V-6 model. Navy Blue exterior paint is available on Frontier SV pickups, and child-safety-seat Latch anchors have been added to all King Cab rear seats, along with a top tether child restraint added to the King Cab driver-side rear seat.

This one jumped $550, but final increase will depending on how the Value Truck Package compares in features and price to the new Luxury Package.

2011 Frontier PRO-4X Crew Cab 4x4 SWB V6 5AT $29,610 USD
2010 is $29,060.

Seems like a large increase given how they are not moving off the lots too fast.

If the 2011 SL equates to the 2010 LE then the price for a 2011 SL CC 4x4 SWB 5AT is $1,810.00 more than the 2010 model. The base MSRP on my 2010 LE CC 4x4 was 29,270 and the 2011 is 31,080. Of course the 2011 may have additional features included that I paid extra for (leather, moonroof, tech package, trailer hitch, etc.). Still, that's a big jump in base price. Also, that doesn't include the destination charge which is 700-800 dollars more. Glad I got a 2010.

Well now that the 2011 pricing is on the Nissan web site, I was able to look at all the options. So while the base truck went up by $550, it only really went up by exactly $0 once I compared the MSRP with all the options.
