I have signal lights and brake lights
But now tail lights. No power to the tail lights. I checked the fuse labelled F4 ( trailer tow ). I have checked some relays and looked everywhere. Even had the truck looked at a shop for 3 hours and they didn’t have any luck
Anyone have any suggestions ?

You may not have the trailer relay harness.
I could have sworn it was the other way around though, when you DO NOT have the trailer relay harness, you have running lights , but NO blinker and NO brake lights....But I could be wrong.

Here is the kit from etrailer:

Here is a thread with a pic of the relay harness and the location behind the front passenger side kick panel.

Let’s start from the beginning. Are you original owner? Is this a Nissan harness from the factory? Recently added? Has it ever worked? Spliced in or plug and play? Nissans don’t like when their electronics are cut up.

I am not the original owner and I’m not sure when the harness was installed. I did look under the passenger kick panel and there is a 12 pin connector with nothing plugged into it. I was pulling a camper / ice shack and could only get the brake lights and signal lights to work. The wiring looks like it was factory but could have been installed after

that empty connector is probably the problem.

I'm sort of in your shoes, my 2015 is an SV without the SV value package so the towing relays and harness are probably not there. I plan to get mine from a junkyard, since this design is 14 years old I can undoubtedly find what I need a lot cheaper than new.

YAY!!!! got that jumper with the 3 relays and plugged it into that empty connector and now I have 14volts on the brown wire. So why would the signal lights and brake lights work without that jumper ? And why would u need relays for ghe tail lights to work Wouldn’t they just be run off the truck tail lights

Anyway glad it works now. Thanks for all the help folks. Time for ice fishing in the am

You might want to pull your tail lights out and see if theres any obvious splicing or other meddling with the wires. Back in the day it was not uncommon to splice-in lighting controls manually and right there at the back, and if someone was used to this old-school method then perhaps they tried and subsequently failed to make that work on your truck.
