Trying to remove and replace the oil seal for the front output shaft of the transfer case, but having a rough time getting it out. Anybody have any tips or tricks on getting it out? I've been using the following tools to try and pull it out from the back of the seal. Also if anyone has the part number for this seal, that would be helpful. Got the wrong one from the Nissan dealership and they don't seem to be much help most of the time.

Hammer and chisel, you have a piece of the metal sleeve exposed so strike it at the 4 o'clock position inward to the center line of output shaft, when you bend that sleeve inward toward the shaft the diameter of the whole seal will shrink a little, might take bends in two spots to get it to fall out. Be very careful around the aluminum tfx case.

Thank you! I'll give that a go and see what happens
