I have used one of the tailgate struts to slow down the lowering but the poorly designed metal yoke and the locating clip are subject to repeated failure. Had to use a tie to hold the clip in place and reshape the metal yoke more than once. Is there a better design out there? The metal yoke is the biggest pain. Seems to me that a complete circle rather than a half circle yoke would work better. Any thoughts?:frown:
