Hi All,
Just because I know so many people have been trying to find out the answer to fitting 33s with no lift, I thought I'd share my experience.
I have a 2005 Double Cad Short Box Frontier and just put on 285/75R16 BFG KO2 A/T Tires mounted on a stock 2012 Frontier Wheel. The wheels are 16" diameter and 7" wide. The setup was able to fit to my amazement with only minor trimming of the plastic around the from lower valence and the mud flap. The tire wasn't even rubbing the inner liner but I still did the melt mod as I think under compression it would have hit while turning. I even still have the mud flaps on (right now).
I was surprised how easily they fit as after reading on here many state it is impossible without a lift and major trimming. I have driven the truck around all night and found no rubbing even at full articulation.
Here are some shots in the shop while mounting the tires, but I will take some more on the weekend showing the clearances and trimming.
