My brother in law is a mechanic in GA. After running a few diagnostic tests on a nonworking A/C system, he said the evaporator core was bad. So, we found out the best way to replace...after we took off the entire dash unit. Figured I'd give the heads up to any others that encounter this problem. For FYI, you can make a small insicion on the firewall. It's a pretty clear space on the left hand side (if you're looking from the front of the truck).
