So, heres the story. I pull out on green light, first guy out. I crossed 2 lanes of traffic and as i was pulling through the median into the next 2 lanes of traffic when i hear tires screech! OH NO i thought as an 18 year old girl on her third accident ran a red light and smashed into the front passenger side of my vehicle! great record for her. . . here are a few pics from a few different angles. the truck is at a collision center now gettin the estimate done. so feel free to post how shitty it is to have 18 year old girls screw you over for being newbs. some people just shouldnt be on the road! as far as i could tell there was no engine damage or frame but the radiator was broken and the rail that it mounts onto on the top is done for. hopefully theres no other problems.

this is the front right, the side that was hit.

the full frontal here!

front driver side.

and another. .

We get older, they stay the same age.

Sad to hear about the truck, but it could be worse. Glad to see you're alright!

Would the addition of an aftermarket bumper be covered by the insurance? What i mean is if you told the place that's doing the repairs hey i would like to put on (lets say a shrockworks) front bumper vs. stock bumper, would they be able to do it? Would there have to be a cash out of pocket for the difference in cost between stock and aftermarket? Always wondered about this, anyone ever been able to do this?

Screw crappy drivers!!! That's sad looking man but good you're both ok and the truck is not totaled. If a vehicle is totaled you never get back what you spent on it from insurance and you're just out all that money.

I guess we're back to selling driver licenses at the local general store.

to clarify this, what the collision center told me is that if you have aftermarket peices on your vehicle they will be covered depending on the items that are installed. lets say the stock bumper cost 500$ and you have a 700$ bumper on there, they will contact the insurance company and pretty much seek their approval to get you that part. however they will not add an after market peice on the ticket of the insurance if it was not previously there. just like saying if you had a 240sx with a sr20 swap, they wont throw in a rb26dett from a gtr with a rb25 tranny upon request if you catch my drift.

That sucks, it would seem like they would be able to do it if you paid the difference, oh well.
