Yesterday my accelerator seemed difficult to depress.

Upon inspection today, I noticed excessive slack in the cable at the end of the pedal.

Can this slack be adjusted out at the throttle body? I see how to adjust the cable housing back and forth, but the cable overall length itself would remain the same.

Cleaned out the throttle. I thought that helped, but after a longer drive it seems to be bad to its old self.

Only after driving a while, when the truck is warmed up, does it 'stick' on acceleration. I am guessing because the choke is off and no longer taking up the 'slack' in the cable.

I tried ordering a new accelerator cable assembly. Backordered for a long time. So I am back to trying to fix this.

I will try adjusting the cable at the throttle today. I am fairly sure it's slack and the 'sticking' is really the pedal travel taking up that initial slack.
