Hi All,
So I went out last week, and bought my 9th Nissan 4x4 pick-up in 23 yrs.
It's 03 XE Frontier, I was really torn between this one and,a crew cab.
I was hoping to get more tool-storage capacity(inside the cab) with a cc,but when I really looked one over, there really was not a lot more than a kc. Between that, and the MPG thing and... $$.....? I am back w/t my ninth KC
Anyhow, one of the features I wanted from the CC was the roof-rack.I snagged one @ the scrap yard for 100$(2001 x-terra) type, 1st try. So now I will cut it behind the mid-rail supports, and than add 2" +/- to the (new) rear legs w/t
leftover rail-stock.I know I may have a lot of work ahead of me to get this right
i.e. headliner, mounting issues like the rain-slots will line up w/t the mounting screws, painting and possibly some wind noise issues? I figured I got the rack for fairly cheep, and except the welding I would do the rest of the work myself, over a few days....(I hope). Is this a decent Ideal? What do you think?
Any input would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Thomas
