Hi I just purchased a 2003 Nissan frontier v6 3.3 looking to get better gas miles does the CAI helps at all , Just looking for options any out there that have done any upgrades with better gas miles??????????? nissan 20's.jpg

Just the usual. Monitor your right foot, drive at slower speeds, run a properly inflated street tire, anticipate more = brake less.

The price of a mod to save gas must be compared to how much gas it will save. Most info re: CAIs is hype.

Things you can & should do regularly at recommended intervals: keep engine tuned up, (spark plugs AND wires, dist cap & rotor), change engine oil to synthetic, change air filter, change fuel filter, change tranny/transfer-case/diff fluids to synthetic.

Some will argue with the above.

The factory air cleaner is a "cold air intake." Aftermarket CAI systems may be beneficial if you are doing extensive mods in pursuit of increased power performance, but, if you are looking for just better gas mileage, I agree with shift_RUSH. Proper maintenance and modifying your driving style will yield the best results. Nissan trucks with VG engines were never known for having good gas mileage, but, then again, neither are most trucks.
