I just got a truck for work it’s 2002 Nissan Frontier xe king cab v4 automatic, the tires the truck came with are 235/75/15, are they too big for the truck ? What size should I have ?

Check your driver's side door placard. It should have your factory tire size and recommended front & rear tire pressure(s) listed.

Fwiw, my '00 XE 2.4 inline 4-cyl w/ 5-sp manual used 215/65-15 tires as the factory size. I was able to use 235/60-15 for a wider stance, but this particular tire size became more & more challenging to find at a reasonable price.

If its just an old work truck, you'll be fine with those tires, certainly not worth running out and buying new tires.

Here's my 2000 with 235/75/15 tires which are only about 29" tall - those are actually pretty small compared to what you can fit. I think the SC models had a 265/65/17 factory tire size (about 30" tall)

This picture was a 255/65/17 (~30" tall) which fit fine on the factory ride height without cutting or trimming anything.
