Standard single cd/am/fm radio 2001 frontier xe; all of a sudden radio remains on after I turn engine off and remove key from ignition? Any ideas?

Possibly a short circuit inside the radio. The radio always has power even with the ignition off.

one possible fix: buy a switch and some wire, pull the radio, find the unswitched (always-on ~12v, usually yellow) power wire, cut it and run it through the switch, mount switch somewhere.

more elegant fix: buy a new stereo.

I've had mine not come on when I start the truck, no display, no sounds... dead.

I just turn the truck off and back on again and then it usually works. Glitch some where I guess.
