Searched the forums but couldn't find an answer.

My 2000 crew cab still has the original cassette stereo receiver but the paint on the buttons has peeled off and the clock/station display window no longer lights up.

I can a used replacement stereo (model CH020, same as mine) very cheap.

Is it just a matter of unplug the old radio and plug in the replacement receiver or are there any dealer codes involved?

The truck has 250K miles on the original motor and trans and still runs strong and passes California smog with flying colors but I will be selling it soon and get a new Frontier so I don't want to spend a lot of money on a new stereo if I can get this one cheap.

This truck has served me quite well! Thanks.
