Hello everyone. I just found this site and I really like it. Seems to have alot of useful information. I've had my 2000 Crew Cab for a couple years now and I love it. I've done some basic stuff to it and now it;s time to make it bigger. I'm not sure if this where I need to ask this question, but give me a break, I'm the new girl on the boards and I'm learning. Anyway, my brother is installing a 3" lift on my Frontier this week and we're having a hard time deciding how big of a tire to go with once the lift kit is done. Right now I have 255/70 R16 tires on thier now with no problem and I'm afraid they will look teniny though once the truck is lifted 3". Anyway, Thank you in advance guys for your help.

Oops, I knew I forgot something. it;s a 3" body lift kit from Performance Accessories.
Can I really go with 33" tires without much rubbing? Thats awesome. I found these. Do you guys know anything about these?

hate to say it, but a 3" body lift WONT get you up to 33's. 33's you can fit niceley with a 3" body and a 3" sus. however you can easily get 31s on there, and 32s with minor trimming. you suposely cant get 35's on both lifts with trimming, but i wouldnt ever do it. i think 32's are a great size tire on the 6" lift, i wouldnt go any bigger than a 32" on the 3" lift.

as for the nitto tires, nitto makes a great tire. but i personally like the mud grappler better. but really i would prefer a mickey thompson, toyo, or wild country over the nitto.

but you got a good truck to start out with! i have the same one. enjoy it!

frontiers just sit to low lol, you cant squeeze big tires under them. and a lot depends on your tread pattern. if i had more of a street tire i could put 31's on my truck with ease, but i have a really beefy tread, and so the 30's rubbed a little bit. but not a lot. i could prob fit 31's but it would take some trimming.

i still recomend 31-32 for the body lift. 31x10.5 would be a great tire. you dont want to fill your wheel wells up because then every bump and bounce your going to rub. if you have room you got room to wheel and not worry about rubbing and tearing something up.

i know a lot of people think the bigger the tire the better it wheels or the cooler it looks or the better whatever. and thats completly dumb. give your self room, dont put a tight fitting tire under your truck if your wheelin it.

Sweet, I met a guy a few weeks ago that had 285/75 with no lift on his Frontier and he only had a little rubbing. I think I'll try and go with those tool. Once I get the lift on, I'll measure and jack up the suspension and see how much I have in the wheel well. Anyway, thank you guys for the help. I'll be sure to let you know how the lift looks when my brother gets done with it.
